Furnishing a hotel room involves far more than selecting furniture from a catalogue. It requires coordination between designers, engineers, manufacturers, and installation teams -often across multiple countries. At Hit Preless, we handle every stage under one roof, from the first consultation to the final handover. Here is how a hotel room goes from concept to completion in six steps. Step 1: Consulting -understanding the project scope

Every project starts with a conversation. Before any drawings are made, our team works with hotel operators, investors, and architects to define the project requirements: room count, design direction, brand standards, timeline, and budget. This phase determines whether the project calls for a full FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) package or specific elements like case goods, upholstered furniture, or custom joinery. Our consulting team provides guidance in German, English, and Slovenian -essential for the cross-border hotel projects we deliver across Europe. The result: a clear project brief that serves as the foundation for everything that follows.

Step 2: Planning -from concept to production-ready drawings

Once the brief is defined, our engineering office translates design concepts into detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using MegaCAD software. Every piece of furniture is drawn to exact specifications -dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware. This stage is where design intent meets manufacturing reality. Our planning team works closely with architects to resolve technical details before production begins, avoiding costly changes later. Each drawing is production-ready, meaning our factory can manufacture directly from the files without interpretation gaps. For larger projects, we produce prototypes and sample rooms for client approval before full-scale production starts. Our Room 102 at Hotelkompetenzzentrum Munich is a permanent example of this approach -available for visits until 2027.

Step 3: Production -craftsmanship meets Industry 4.0

Manufacturing takes place at our 5,000 m² facility in Medvode, Slovenia. The production line combines CNC machinery with traditional woodworking and an in-house upholstery department. Since 2023, our entire production process is digitalized -from cutting lists to quality control -following Industry 4.0 principles. We work with wood, metal, glass, leather, and various textiles. Each piece goes through material inspection, precision manufacturing, and quality control before packaging. Over 30 years of production experience means we can handle everything from standard hotel case goods to complex custom joinery. Hit Preless production facility with CNC machinery

Step 4: Transport -own fleet, direct delivery

Finished furniture is carefully packaged and loaded onto our own transport fleet. Having in-house logistics means we control the entire delivery chain -scheduling, route planning, and handling -without relying on third-party carriers. Our trucks deliver across the European Union. For a typical hotel project, furniture arrives on-site in coordinated batches aligned with the installation schedule. This prevents storage issues on-site and keeps the project on track.

Step 5: Installation -precision on-site

Our installation teams arrive with pre-assembled furniture that has already passed quality control at the factory. A dedicated site manager oversees every installation, coordinating with general contractors and other trades on-site. Because the furniture is manufactured to exact specifications and pre-assembled where possible, on-site installation time is significantly reduced. For the Courtyard by Marriott Hannover project -145 rooms and 5 suites -this meant a smooth handover within the agreed timeline. Hotel room installation by Hit Preless team

Step 6: After-sales -support beyond handover

The project does not end at handover. Our after-sales team remains available for maintenance, replacement parts, touch-ups, and any adjustments needed after the hotel opens. This is particularly relevant for hotel chains operating multiple properties -having a single point of contact for ongoing furniture support simplifies operations.

Why a single-source approach matters

Working with separate suppliers for design, production, transport, and installation introduces coordination risk at every handover point. Delays, miscommunication, and quality inconsistencies are common when multiple parties are involved. A single-source contractor eliminates these gaps. At Hit Preless, the same team that plans the furniture also manufactures, delivers, and installs it. This means:
  • One point of contact throughout the project
  • No information loss between project stages
  • Direct quality control from factory to installation
  • Faster problem resolution when adjustments are needed
  • Consistent standards across all deliverables
